The Cuban president also congratulated Leuris Pupo on his silver medal, after nine years of his title in London 2012.
"Congratulations, Leuris Pupo! Whay a joy your silver medal, nine years after your title in London 2012. Despite the early morning, #Cuba lived every shot with you. A hug, champion", the president tweeted.
Likewise, he highlighted the good competition of Juan Miguel Echevarría and Maykel Massó in the long jump.
