A new interprovincial bus terminal will benefit Holguin and visitors this year, who for nearly half a century used an inoperative facility for this purpose in the capital of the eastern territory.
On the outskirts of the city, there is an installation that will have air-conditioned waiting rooms, luggage room, telephone booths, as well as a restaurant, cafeteria and barber shop, among other facilities.
Javier Santiesteban, principal executor of the work, explained that the project in progress also includes the parking area, platforms, and repair shops, electricity and scrub for buses arriving at the facility.
The manager said that so far they have completed some work objects such as the administrative area and the workshops.
He added that work is also being done on the construction of a hall for passengers traveling by bus from Viazul, in addition to the execution of a parking area for light cars belonging to the company Cuba Taxi and for drivers of rental vehicles.
