Increased Entrance of National Tourists in Hotels in Holguín

More than 172 thousand tourists from the domestic market have stayed in hotel facilities in the province of Holguin during this vacation, which represents a growth of 26 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Similarly, the stay increased to three nights on average, mainly in sun and beach hotels belonging to the Cubanacán, Gaviota and Islazul groups, informed Maikel Robelt Futiel, Commercial specialist of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism in Holguín (Mintur).
He stressed that, gradually, the influx of nationals from Holguin, Granma and Santiago to this tourist pole, where today the optional most demanded is the accommodation, followed by the tours, excursions and tours, while the hotels with greater acceptance are the Club Amigo Atlántico Guardalavaca, Memoris Holguín and Luna Mares.

Yuliet Peña, president of the Association of Jurists in the eastern territory, stressed during the debate the importance of ratifying the democratic character of the Magna Carta and the attachment to the conquests achieved by the Revolution since its triumph on January 1, 1959.
He emphasized the intangibility criterion included in the document, which translates into the impossibility of different modifications to the socialist system.

Summer After the Footsteps of History in Holguin

Lectures and projection of educational audiovisual materials related to the history of the province of Holguin stand out among the summer proposals of the Periquera Provincial Museum, declared a National Monument for its architectural values.

Nélida Peña, director of the installation, stressed that among the main issues stand out the wars for the independence of Cuba and the customs of the aborigines of the east of the Caribbean island, which brings the new generations closer to local traditions.

The activities of the center linked to the summer season, he said, also include guided tours and traveling exhibitions in communities of the provincial capital and areas of difficult access, an initiative that contributes to the formation of values.
