Laura Diaz, just six years old enjoyed along with other infants of different ages, the interpretations of renowned singer Lidis Lamorú from Holguín in one of the main activities developed in the city of Holguín on the occasion of Children's Day.

The girl said that she really likes Lidis's songs and that she asked her parents and grandparents to take her to see the singer in the concert offered yesterday at Plaza Camilo Cienfuegos, Holguin, one of the scenarios chosen for the festivities children's this Sunday.

The University of Holguín graduated more than 880 professionals from about 30 careers of the 2017-2018 school year, which will contribute to the economic and social development of the eastern territory.

Among the branches present in the ceremony that ended the teaching period, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the house of high studies, excel the exact sciences, economic, technical, pedagogical, agricultural, legal, physical, social and humanistic culture.

In a solemn ceremony at the Eddy Suñol Theater, located in the historic center of the city of Holguín, the students received the diploma that accredits them as graduates, in addition to other recognitions such as the Scientific Merit Award.

The member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Vice President of the Councils of State and of Ministers, Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, verified the production process of the Base Business Unit (UEB) "Electric Motors Tauba", belonging to the Holguin municipality of Cacocum.

There he spoke with the workers of the entity, which is the only one of its kind in the nation and is one of the few located in the Caribbean area.

During the tour of the production and repair center, the provincial director of the "Héroes del 26 de Julio" Mechanical Company, Eusebio Reinaldo Pupo, explained that currently the plan is for 25 monthly engines, a figure that is being worked on to increase it to 40, in order to contribute to the substitution of imports in the country.
