The Tenth Congress of the Union of Journalists of Cuba Begins
With the participation of more than 400 delegates, the 10th Congress of the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC) will begin in Havana, which will be held until this Saturday at the Palacio de las Convenciones.
At the meeting, professionals from all over the island will discuss the contributions to the implementation of the Communication Policy, and about the press model necessary for socialism in the country, according to national media.
For this, they will work in five committees: Functioning of the UPEC, Ethics and communication, Media aggression against Cuba, Innovation and new technologies and Content management.
According to the program, the National Committee of the guild will be presented, and after the first debates, the Statutes and the Code of Ethics will be approved.
