The Mi Amor por ti project, which emerged four years ago in Mayarí, municipality in the eastern province of Holguin, deserves the respect and admiration for its members, for the creation of an initiative full of love and human sensitivity.

All of this became clear when they staged a beautiful gift for Children's Day, to invade the facilities of the provincial pediatric hospital "Octavio de la Concepcion y de la Pedraja" of the City of the Parks, to perform for children and girls in there.

They came loaded with joy and love to share with the little patients and their companions, who were given treats, personal hygiene products and other surprises, in addition to offering their art in the form of songs and dances and the performances of the always welcome clowns.

The implementation and enforcement of measures to reduce accidents in Holguin during this summer 2018, was the main theme of the meeting of the Provincial Road Safety Commission.

The meeting analyzed the strategies adopted by the territory in terms of prevention of traffic accidents and safety in the transportation of people, mainly along those roads that lead to beach areas.

Among the main measures are the certifications of the vehicles by the technical inspection plant, the creation of check-in areas at the departures to the recreational areas, which are set as the time of return at 6:00 in the afternoon.
Likewise, the blood alcohol identification points are increased and vigilance is reinforced at checkpoints and roads with high traffic and accident rates.

The children-youth project "Voices of the Audiovisual" of the municipality of Gibara in Holguin honored with its work the continuity of the legacy of Humberto Solás in the recently concluded International Film Festival of Gibara.

Lázaro García, director of Voces del Audiovisual, explained that the project arose on the initiative of the museologist Bárbara López, who in 2010 managed to materialize the dream of the filmmaker, Solás, who died on September 18, 2008; to encourage audiovisual creation from an early age.

He said that in these eight years his main objective is to achieve a path of leisure and learning, where children and youngsters enter the audiovisual world but always doing so from the game to not neglect the essence of childhood.
