In all the east of the country, the process of flagging the participating delegations to the first Conference of the Trade Union of Culture advances. Holguín recently became the fourth province that made this step prior to the great appointment of trade unionists in that sector.

14 delegates chosen from the base and 2 guests will form part of the Holguin Delegation that will participate in the First National Conference of the Trade Union of Culture Workers, next to be held on October 11, 12 and 13 in Havana.

In the plaza of the Major General Revolution Calixto García Íñiguez and as a tribute to this Holguin patriot, the workers received the flag that will accompany them during the grand event, which will be attended by 200 delegates and more than 50 guests from all over the country.

Nereida López Labrada, General Secretary of the National Union of the sector meant that the event takes place a few days to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the birth of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro. Likewise, he said that on such an important date in October they will pay tribute to the 150th anniversary of the beginning of our fights for independence.

Holguin delegates will represent the province in the three committees that will meet during the Conference, which will address issues such as the Economy of Culture and cultural programming; union functioning, policy and training; besides the ideological political work against the subversion.

Alcides Betancourt Caraballo, member of the National Secretariat of the Central Workers' Union of Cuba, and Graciella González Aguilera, general secretary of the union in the province, were also present at the flag, who announced the results of the fulfillment of the tasks and the development of the union work in the territory.
