Gibara Hosts BIOTUR 2018
On July 19 and 20, Gibara will host the Workshop on Biological Diversity and Tourism, BIOTUR 2018, which will bring together about a hundred tour operators linked to the travel agencies present in Holguín province.
The general program of nature tourism in eastern Cuba event expects to spend hours in the morning to the theoretical and afternoon activities of tours and excursions to different places of historical, cultural and tourist attractions in the Villa Blanca of Crabs.
During BIOTUR 2018 will be presented the audiovisual Fidel, Artífice del Turismo Revolucionario, the Gibara conference, Heritage and Tourism and the documentary Gibara la Villa Blanca, among other actions planned to provide more information about this destination with multiple benefits.
Participants organized in three groups will have three options to choose from during the two days of the event: nautical and speleotourist crossing with visits to several sites, such as the tobacco factory and the natural viewpoint of the hill of Yabazón; Transfer to the Blue Tank, which includes, among other attractions, the crystalline cenote of Papaya, bathing and snorkeling, and the third choice is the Camino a Mares river, which foresees arrival at the Maniabón Cársicos hills, navigation along the Cacoyugüín river and interpretation of the riparian biota values, among other offers.
The nature meeting will close on the 20th in the afternoon with a commercial round between tour operators and travel agents and the launch of BIOTUR 2019, informed Maikel Robelt, official of the delegation of the Ministry of Tourism in the province of Holguin.
