The implementation and enforcement of measures to reduce accidents in Holguin during this summer 2018, was the main theme of the meeting of the Provincial Road Safety Commission.

The meeting analyzed the strategies adopted by the territory in terms of prevention of traffic accidents and safety in the transportation of people, mainly along those roads that lead to beach areas.

Among the main measures are the certifications of the vehicles by the technical inspection plant, the creation of check-in areas at the departures to the recreational areas, which are set as the time of return at 6:00 in the afternoon.
Likewise, the blood alcohol identification points are increased and vigilance is reinforced at checkpoints and roads with high traffic and accident rates.

The representatives of the commissions of each municipality also presented the strategies to be assumed during the summer period and emphasized the integration of all the agencies in the achievement of these purposes, as well as the education work in the population sector aimed at raising awareness and perception of the risk of accidents.
