Cuba Won a Prize in BITE 2018
Cuba won the Best Organizing Team award at the 15th edition of the Beijing Tourism International (BITE 2018), which was held for three days with almost a thousand national and foreign participants.
The stand of the island presented offers from the Gaviota Tourism Group, the Habanos SA companies, Havana Club International S.A. and the Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos S.A
Chinese agencies that have businesses in the Caribbean country also formed part of the representation.
The stand promoted in BITE 2018 various travel packages, recognized rum brands such as Havana Club and Mulata, honey and medicines from the BioCubaFarma firm.
It highlighted the presence of a tobacco maker who prepared coveted tobaccos to the public such as Cohiba, Partagas and Montecristo.
Since the opening of the event on the morning of last Friday, the stand of the Antillean State was characterized as one of the most frequented by the variety and authenticity of its exhibition.
Last year Cuba won the popularity award for the high influx of visitors.
The economic-commercial attaché of the Cuban embassy, Yohanely Savigne, told Prensa Latina that they have been successfully participating in BITE for years and came to this edition with pre-established appointments with travel agencies of the Asian giant.
"It is evidence that shows interest in the Cuban market in Latin America and the Caribbean," she said.
The event also brought together besides Chinese tour operators, from Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, Thailand, Cote d'Ivoire and Germany, among other countries, companies from other sectors that are linked to the so-called leisure industry.
Other companies dedicated to providing health services, food, robotics, telecommunications, manufacturing, sports and crafts attended.
