Casa de la Trova Faustino Oramas “El guayabero” has reopened after going through a maintenance process with a total cost of more than 90 thousand convertible pesos.
The cultural institution, located in the historical center of the city, now exhibits new tiles and furniture, in addition to a pergola in the courtyard that offers greater lighting, freshness and protection from the rain.
As part of the renovation, a new gallery was created to revere the founders, the audio booth was relocated and a segment dedicated to humor during the nights will also be incorporated, to honor the title of “King of Double Sense” that was conferred to Mr. Faustino Oramas.
This place, managed by the Holguín branch of the Company of Artistic and Literary Promotions (Artex), will once again receive prestigious local artists such as Fernando Cabreja, Raúl Prieto, Norberto Leyva and Lucrecia Marín, who will be accompanied from Tuesday to Sunday by various offers of cocktails, beers, juices, soft drinks and rums.
The institution is the first in the territory to receive the plate for the 300th anniversary of the Holguín town founding, and it does so with a renewed image in a space where the most authentic rhythms of Cuban music prevail.
