Hotel Paradisus Río de Oro achieves a World Travel Award

Paradisus Río de Oro Resort & Spa won a prize in the World Travel Awards in the category Cuba's Leading Resort 2020,  in which five Cuban tourist facilities were nominated.

This Holguín facility has accomplished this award for the first time, considered the Oscar of hotel industry, although its Spa had already achieved three World Travel Awards in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Carlos Álvarez Infante, deputy director of Paradisus Río de Oro Resort & SPA, mentioned  that this hotel, founded on December 21st, 1998, located a few kilometers from Guardalavaca, has obtained many other awards as a guarantee of the quality of services; for example the several recognitions granted by tour operator such as the Gold Choice of First Choice, in 2008; on multiple occasions the Prime of Neckermann, from TTOO-Thomas Cook, the Gold Medal- 2008 of First Choice and Opinion Sites, such as TripAdvisor, in 2012 and Holiday Check, in 2013.

In 2019, this Holguín hotel facility, with a 5-Star plus category and accommodation for adults only, also received a Condé Nast Johansens certificate, as “best Royal Service with Spa”, award of excellence granted by this travel website, according to online voting results, guest quality surveys and the assessment of an international team of experts.

Similarly, the award conferred by Tripadvisor joined the list, as an incentive for the hospitality and popularity of this hotel on the largest travel website in the world, since it has obtained maximum score from its customers regularly.

Paradisus Río de Oro Resort & Spa, the flagship of hotel industry in Holguín tourist area, has achieved customer satisfaction rates above four points continuously, according to National Satisfaction Surveys (ENS).

Álvarez pointed out that these results have caused a high repeat level in the hotel, more than 25 percent among its clients. On the other hand, until the withdrawal of tour operator Thomas Cook last year the primacy was held by visitors from the United Kingdom, followed by Canadians.
