Culinary 2019, an opportunity to show the best of the Cuban cuisine
A perfect opportunity to show the qualities of the Cuban cuisine and learn from the experiences of several nations, will be the International Culinary Festival 2019, which will take place from October 14th to 18th at the Havana Convention Center.
The food of the Island is rich for its flavor and its color and in recent years, innovation and creativity have grown, commented today at a press conference Eddy Fernandez, president of the Federation of Culinary Associations of the Republic of Cuba (FACRC) and the organizing committee of the event.
What we are defending is our miscegenation, and theajiaco that we are, said Fernandez, who explained that the festival returns after a decade of its latest edition and will be dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the San Cristóbal villa, which will be held next November16th.
The meeting will not be competitive, since its main objective is to bring together professionals and students from around the world in order to exchange practices on food, he explained. The program of the event includes master classes, debates workshops, culinary room, bartender show, and sommelier meeting.
In addition, there will be an associated exhibition, where all those interested in promoting their products, equipment, services, publications and other topics related to the gastronomic activity, regardless the country of origin, can participate through a service contract with the FACRC.
The theme of the event will be Cuisine, Identity and Cultural Heritage, then culinary professionals and students are invited, bartenders, sommeliers, foodies, food managers, directors and managers of hotels and restaurants, tourism executives, shipping and aviationcompanies, as well as entrepreneurs and firms linked to art and culinary and gastronomic science, specialized press and publishers.
