Increasing people’s life quality, productivity and efficiency is the purpose of specialists in the environmental research and service center of Holguín province; who carry out 11 projects.

Their studies involve coastal and mountainous ecosystems, tourism sector, power, climate change struggle, history and heritage. Among their latest works are the mangroves evaluation and the creation of an artificial beach in Esterito located in Freyre municipality, with benefits for ecology along with an environmental analysis of Corinthia andBarrederas beaches.

Last year investigators were prized with 25 scientific results when their scientific and technological services enhanced the economic, social and environmental development of the territory. This is evidenced through the management and keeping of beaches, some of them reforested with native species.

Este 2019, el Centro de Investigaciones y Servicios Ambientales de Holguín, reconocido en vísperas del Día de la Ciencia Cubana, priorizará las acciones de ciencia, tecnología e innovación que tributen a la Tarea Vida,  fortalecerá los vínculos con instituciones por medio de la colaboración nacional e internacional y estimulará la exportación de servicios.

In this 2019, the environmental researchand servicecenter of Holguín, relevant in view of the Cuban science day, will prioritize scientific, technological and innovative actions intended to serve the Tarea Vidaproyect. It will also enhance the work with institutions through national and international collaboration, besides, it will stimulate services exportation.
