More than 600 doctorsfrom Holguín have returned to their homes since the Ministry of Public Health Care in Cuba decided to withdraw the collaboration program MásMédicos in Brazil, due to the hostile attitude of the elected president Jair Bolsonaro.

Cubans reached intricate areas in the Brazilian Amazon with the objective of rendering good medical attention and improvingthe living conditions of the poor, who cannot afford the high prices of the health care system in the South American country.

Nearly 800 collaborators from Holguín belonging to MásMédicos were Brazil and those who have not return will be in their land in the next days, all of them proud of their mission accomplished and the professional prestige of this sector in the South American country.

Holguín province was represented in this mission by its 14 municipalities; at collaborators’ arrival they received signs of admiration, respect, affection, either from their relatives so as political, social and governmental authorities from their birthplaces.
