The importance in the relationship between archeology and museums were the center of debates on Wednesday in Holguin during a scientific event on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Center of Research and Environmental and Technological Services founded on October 21st, 1999.
Juan Jardines, specialist of the Central Eastern Department of Archeology told ACN that these relations contribute in saving Cuban cultural heritage and preserve the objects found in excavations, sites like the Chorro de Maita Indigenous Cemetery, a reference for the study of the field in the Caribbean.
He highlighted that research has been carried out in the collections of the la Periquera Provincial History Museum and the Bani Indocuban located in the eastern region, some 700 kilometers from Havana.
The specialist pointed out that the projects also includes the training of technicians and directives of the installations facilitating the design of the museum assembly guides with major attraction for visitors.
