With the completion of a simultaneous race- walk throughout the country, the people of Cuba manifest once again its rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States has held for nearly six decades.
The activity, which will take place on Saturday, September 9th, at 10 a.m., is inserted within the commemorative actions for the 57 anniversary of the CDR and will mark the beginning of multiple demonstrations inside and outside Cuba in rejection of the blockade. In the case of the capital, the race-walk will be developed from the north wing of the Museum of the Revolution to the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune.
CDR members, young people, children, sports enthusiasts and the population in general will participate in this initiative, which will become a popular expression of denunciation against this hostile policy, which has caused considerable damage to the Cuban people.
The realization of this event will mobilize efforts of various organizations and institutions, primarily the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, the National Institute of Sport, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder), the Marabana-Maracuba project, the Union of Young Communists, The Federation of Intermediate School Students, the Jose Marti Pioneers Organization and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples, and is also sponsored by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Culture, Education and Higher Education of Cuba .
